2tbspall purpose flour
3pcslarge potatoespealed and diced (3 cups)
2tspsalt
¼tspcelery salt
¼tsppepper
3cupsmilk(I use almond milk)
Instructions
In large sauce pan or dutch oven, over medium heat, cook salt pork or bacon until lightly browned: add onions and cook till tender about 5 mins
Stir flour into onion mixture until well blended.
In large measuring cup add clam juice from clams. Set aside clams. Add enough water to clam juice to make 2 cups.
Gradually stir in clam liquid mixture ( NOT Clams) and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened.
Stir in potatoes, celery salt, salt, & pepper.
Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
Ad clams, milk, and butter or margarine.
Cover and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Stirring often.
